ESL B Literature and Composition
(ESL B)

The ESL B Literature and Composition class focuses on teaching students learning strategies.  The goal of the class is to accelerate the academic language learning of ELL students by teaching them how to learn more effectively.  They are taught to become independent readers and thinkers through the use of scaffolding, support questions, and activities to help them deal with difficult reading passages that seem over their heads.  The student workbook contains skill-building activities for vocabulary, grammar, usage, mechanics, and writing.
